It’s taken me years to figure out and fully appreciate that it’s the mess that grows us. It’s the adversity that provides us the opportunity to grow, as brutal as it is and I don’t say that lightly, it has taken me years to heal from my childhood. Pain can make us hungry for change, for a better life, for courage, for more, it forces us to get help, to learn and find peace. It’s through our adversity that we change and break free.
